Quandong
The quandong is a small tree to
about 3m high, with grey-green thick fleshy leaves. The flowers occur
in clusters and are very small, almost unnoticeable. The fruit is a
drupe with a quite thin flesh that has an apricot taste. It is often
referred to as a native apricot. The fruit is used for jam but requires
a lot of gathering to collect enough of the flesh for eating.
