Juicing for Health!

Maintaining a balanced diet is important for our general health with a vital element of that balance being provided by the nutrients and fiber in fruit and vegetables.

The World Health Organization recommendation is that we consume 5 A Day. That is five 80g amounts of vegetables and fruit each day. That 400g daily total of a mixture of fruit and vegetables is thought to help reduce the risk of stroke, type 2 diabetes and heart disease, while also combatting obesity.

Unfortunately, because we are all leading such busy lives, preparing dishes containing vegetables or fruit every day can be a chore, and the 5 A Day rule is regularly broken. To counter that many people use a juicer to quickly and easily prepare a healthy beverage containing fresh fruit and vegetables to be enjoyed at any time of day.

What is a juicer?

These clever little machines turn your fresh produce into a palatable drink by removing the pulp (insoluble fiber) but they leave behind the soluble fiber containing enzymes and phytonutrients (natural compounds) that are more easily absorbed by the body.
